Digital Teaching & Learning
Our educators have the tech tools necessary to maximize instruction. Each K-5 teacher is issued an iPad in addition to a MacBook Air laptop computer. Each teacher in grades 6-12 also receives a MacBook Air plus a Chromebook. The district’s executive director for digital teaching and learning helps educators get the most of out not only those tools but also what we provide for our students:

Our elementary and middle schools in the Pittsboro area feed into Northwood High School. Chatham Grove Elementary School will open in 2020. Seaforth High School will open in 2021.

Our elementary and middle schools in Siler City feed into Jordan-Matthews High School. The district’s early college is in Siler City, too.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Educators in Chatham County Schools continue to view the district as an outstanding place to earn a living. The 2018 North Carolina Teacher Working Conditions Survey indicated that 91.4 percent of survey respondents from Chatham County Schools considered their particular schools as good places to work and learn. Statewide, 87.1 percent of survey respondents perceived their schools favorably.
